Parkour
Parkour is a physical discipline inspired by human movement. It focuses on uninterrupted, efficient forward motion over, under, around and through obstacles in one's environment. The goal of parkour is to adapt one's movement to any given obstacle in one's path. Learn basics of proper landing, running, jumping, climbing on, over and around obstacles, and safe spotting and training techniques. |
Contortion/Flexibility
This class is centered around flexibility and strength. Skills taught include handstands, flexibility, stretching techniques and contortion. These techniques are valuable to all athletes, dancers, gymnasts, skaters, cheerleaders and anyone else wanting to acheive a more flexible physique. You do not need to be a contortionist to attend. |
Strength & Conditioning
The Strength & Conditioining program at AcroSports is a blend of gymnastics, weightlifting, and metabolic conditioning. Students learn basic tumbling as well as squatting, pressing and deadl;ifting. This class is suitable for all fitness levels as intensity and load can be modified for each individual and no two workouts are ever the same! |
Aerial Arts
Students new to aerial arts enroll in the aerial conditioning class before enrolling in aerial arts in order to develop the strength, flexibility, and endurance necessary for performing on the aerial apparatus. Current aerial students also enroll in this class for a total body workout and as a supplement to the aerial arts class.
The aerial arts class introduces students to a variety of aerial apparatus including static trapeze and aerial rope and tissue. Students will focus on continuing to develop strength, control, and awareness as well as flexibility, grace, in addition to a basic trick vocabulary. |
Acro Conditioning
Our Acro Conditioning class is a short, but intense strength and cardio workout focusing on balance, coordination and strength. This is a great supplemental class to any fitness regime. Time is spent on the main gym floor and tumble track.
|
Board Sports
The board sports program is a great way to learn and perfect action sports related aerial maneuvers. From basic front and back flips to off axis tricks such as misties, rodeos and corks. Board sports students will learn basic tumbling on floor, as well as spins and flips on the trampoline. This class is geared towards skiers, snowboarders, kite boarders and wake boarders that are looking to incorporate dry land training. Access to spotting belts allows the students to learn new skills safely.
|
Break Dancing
Beginning and advanced level students alike will learn the fundamentals of break dancing, freezes, and power moves. |
Tumbling
Tumbling students work on progressive tumbling skills, concentrating activities on the tumble strip, main gym floor and tumble track. From first-timer to veteran, our adult tumbling classes are scaled to each individual's needs.
|
Trampoline
Trampoline is a great way to get or stay in shape, while learning and refining skills. Students perform drills and conditioning on the main gym floor and concentrate time on the tumble track and trampoline. |
Tumbling Workout
This is a supervised, open training workout with access to the floor, tumble strip, tumble track, and trampoline (sorry, but we cannot accomodate aerialists). Students must have basic tumbling knowledge with approval of onsite staff. |
