Summer Camp 2026: Everything You Need to Know About Our New Lottery Registration
We know summer camp registration at AcroSports has been… intense. Picture this: 2,500 families trying to grab 528 spots, with the most popular weeks disappearing in under 30 seconds. It’s been stressful for everyone, and we’ve heard you loud and clear.
That’s why we’re bringing back our lottery system for 2026, and we’ve made it even better based on your feedback from last year. We held a webinar on January 12th to walk families through the whole process, and if you missed it, don’t worry. We’ve embedded the full recording below, and this post covers all the important details.

What’s New This Year
Last year was our first time running a lottery, and we asked for your feedback. You told us what worked and what didn’t, and we listened. Here’s what we changed:
- Earlier timeline so you have more time to plan your summer
- Week-long submission window instead of a couple days (no more racing the clock!)
- Rank your preferences from 1 to 6, so we know exactly what works best for your family
- Friend group option to register two families together in one lottery entry
- Choose how many weeks you want upfront (1, 2, or 3) so we’re not guessing

How the Lottery Works

Step 1: Fill Out the Form (January 26 – February 1)
- One form per family (or one per friend group)
- Rank up to 6 preferred weeks in order of preference
- Tell us how many total weeks you want (1, 2, or 3)
- Only select weeks you’d actually be happy with
- You can edit your submission anytime before February 1 at 9pm
Step 2: We Run the Lottery (February 2-3)
- All entries processed fairly
- Family units stay together (all siblings placed in same weeks)
- Friend groups stay together (both families placed in same weeks or neither)
Step 3: Results Roll Out (February 4-8)
- If selected: You’ll get an email within 24 hours to opt out if needed
- If waitlisted: You’re automatically placed on waitlists for your preferred weeks (if you opted in)
- Rolling notifications continue as spots open up
Step 4: Final Confirmation (February 9)
- All families notified of final enrollment status
- Waitlist positions available upon request (email in**@********ts.org)
- Families can request an installment plan for summer camp payment
Step 5: Payment Processing (February 13)
- All confirmed camp enrollments charged
- Tuition assistance applied automatically if enrolled in program
- No payment if you’re on a waitlist (only charged if you accept a spot later)
Important Things to Know
Before You Submit Your Lottery Entry
- Create your Parent Portal account if you don’t have one already (lottery entries need somewhere to go!)
- Apply for tuition assistance by January 25th if you need it
- Coordinate with your friend group to make sure only one family submits the entry
- Make sure names match what’s in your Parent Portal for smoother processing
Age Requirements
- Campers must be the minimum age by the first day of camp (not by registration day)
- Example: If you want week 4 starting June 29th, your child needs to turn the right age by June 29th
Before and Aftercare
- Only available for ages 6 and up
- Add these options directly in the lottery form
- Not available for AcroCamp Junior (ages 4-5) as it’s already a long day for younger campers
Checking Your Enrollment Status
You can check anytime in your Parent Portal:
- On the website: Click “Activities” to see enrollments and waitlists
- On the app: Tap “My Account” and scroll down to see your classes and waitlists
- “Classes” section = confirmed enrollment
- “Waitlist” section = you’re on the waitlist
Friend Group Registration
If your child wants to attend camp with a friend, you can submit one lottery entry for both families:
- Maximum of 2 families per friend group
- Only one family should submit the form
- Coordinate ahead of time about which weeks you both want
- Both families are placed together or not at all
- No splitting friend groups across different weeks
Questions?
We covered a lot in the webinar, and hopefully this post (and the video below) answers most of what you’re wondering. But if something’s still unclear, just email us at in**@********ts.org. We’re here to help make this process as smooth as possible.
We know finding summer camps for kids is challenging everywhere, and we’re grateful you’re choosing to be part of our community. The lottery isn’t perfect, but it’s our best attempt to make registration fairer and less stressful for everyone. See you this summer!
