The CircusLab is designed for the intermediate to advanced student who is interested and ready to commit to and implement the circus medium in performance.

Through the study of acrobatics, hand balancing, aerial arts, character development/clowning, parkour, improvisation, object manipulation and more, students will develop stage presence, confidence and performance skills. This will allow them to delve deeper into their pursuit of the circus arts, by creating original acts to be performed at various AcroSports produced shows and events.

In addition to choosing a circus discipline as their primary focus, members of Circus Lab will develop a wide range of skills, both physical and non-physical, that will develop each young performer to their highest potential, whether in the circus or anywhere else life may take them.

Joining CircusLab is a commitment for both the aspiring student/performer and their guardians. The program is designed to guide each student toward a potential career as a professional circus performer. While a child may choose to follow a different path down the road, we seek to provide each member of the CircusLab with focused training, clear goals, with a safe and positive atmosphere to learn and progress.

5 pillars of success for the CircusLab

  • Dream Big!

  • Train Hard!

  • Believe In Yourself!

  • Support Each Other!

  • Have Fun!

We hope to inspire all students/performers to reach for the stars and work hard to achieve their dreams, whatever they may be.

In addition to scheduled classes, rehearsals and performances; throughout the program, CircusLab will have the opportunity to take specialty workshops from special guest coaches from around the world.

Workshops in:

  • Clown
  • Juggling
  • Partner Acrobatics,
  • Dance
  • Make Up (just to name a few)

While training in the CircusLab, WE (coaches/staff) want to provide your student/performer with the most complete “Show Business” experience possible culminating in successful shows, achieving goals and building the confidence of a champion.

Another motivating factor and point of interest is the opportunity to perform WITH your coaches.

Yes that’s right! Circus Lab performers will train to perform alongside their coaches as well as other professional artists and aspiring performers (youth and adult). Classic Circus shows have always had the young and old together onstage sharing in the magic. CircusLab will be no different. Your performer will get multiple opportunities over the course of the program to perform all over San Francisco and possibly beyond.

Some of these opportunities include, but are not limited to:

  • the Youth Arts Showcase (Dec 16th, 2023)
  • our In House Variety cabaret (Sept 16, 2023)
  • the 30th Anniversary Gala (Dec 2nd, 2023)
  • Circus Lab Street Team shows (TBD) and in our own Circus troupe
  • City Circus for full staged productions (Sept, 2024)

We're hiring! Come and join our amazing team.
