Bay Area’s Best: AcroSports Strikes Gold (and Silver!)
We’re thrilled to announce that AcroSports has been recognized by Bay Area Parent readers as the best in four categories. These awards reflect something we care deeply about: creating a space where every kid can build strength, confidence, and genuine joy through movement and performance arts.
The Awards
Bay Area Parent Magazine readers voted AcroSports the best in:
- ๐ฅ Best Gymnastics Class โ For our commitment to quality instruction and inclusive programming for all ages and abilities
- ๐ฅ Best Indoor Playspace โ For providing a safe, engaging environment where kids can explore, challenge themselves, and play
- ๐ฅ Best Day Camp โ For summer and seasonal camps where kids learn new skills, build friendships, and perform on stage
- ๐ฅ Best Specialty Camp โ For our focused, creative programming that lets kids dive deep into circus arts, parkour, and urban movement
Why These Awards Matter
When families take time to vote, they’re saying something. They’re saying this place made a difference for their kid. They’re saying they trust us. They’re saying they’d recommend us to a friend.
That’s the award we actually care about.
Our gymnasts come in terrified of heights and leave doing aerials. Our tumble track students discover they’re stronger than they thought. Our parkour kids learn to move through the world with confidence. Our camp attendees make friendships that last beyond summer. And every single person who walks through our doors learns that they belong here, exactly as they are.
These Bay Area Parent awards recognize that commitment. They honor the work our coaches do every single day, the inclusive philosophy we’ve built around, and the genuine care we put into every class, every camp, every performance.
What Families Are Saying
Award recognition comes from real families sharing real experiences. Parents voted for us because:
- Their kids actually look forward to class (and ask to go more often)
- Our coaches notice each student as an individual, not just another body in the gym
- We create a space where shy kids find their voice and confident kids learn humility
- Our programs build real skills and real friendships, not just screen time
- Safety and inclusion aren’t buzzwords here, they’re how we operate every day
A 30-Year Institution
These awards celebrate what AcroSports has been doing since 1993. Founded by community activists and circus artists from Moscow and Ukraine, we’ve been a Bay Area fixture for three decades. We’ve grown from a single vision into a 10,000-square-foot facility serving over 2,500 students per week and reaching 12,000 students annually through classes, camps, community outreach, and performances.
We’ve been recognized formally by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and the California State Legislature for youth engagement. But the awards we treasure most are the ones from families who trust us with their kids, who show up week after week, who bring friends, who come back year after year.
Thank You
To every family who voted for us, thank you. You’re the reason we show up with energy and intention every single day. You hold us accountable to our values. You remind us why this work matters.
To our coaches and staff, thank you. You see each student. You create safe spaces. You celebrate effort and growth. You make AcroSports what it is.
To our community partners, donors, and everyone who believes in this mission, thank you. We couldn’t do this without you.
