Summer Camp 2021 Update
While AcroSports is currently still closed for youth programming, we are excitedly gearing up to provide our popular day camps this coming summer!
More details from the City regarding the parameters of how we can operate Camps is still forthcoming, and we expect to see those specific guidelines by the first week of April. In the meantime, we have already been advised that Camps will need to run for 3-week spans, and will be limited to pods of 14 students, who will work with the SAME two instructors for the entirety of the three weeks.
Given these preliminary rules, we have identified 3 separate Camp sessions that we will be able to offer:
- June 14th – July 2nd
- July 5th – July 23rd
- July 26th – August 13th
Each 3-week span will have two separate pods, thus accommodating up to 28 students.
Thankfully, at this point we DO now know that we will be allowed to hold camp indoors this summer, which is a huge relief. Since the bulk of the experiences our Camps provide are rooted in the unique features of our facility, we didn’t want to have to replace that experience with a “watered down,” entirely-outdoor version of an AcroSports Camp.
However, that said, we will be adding more outdoor time to the Camp day, as a recent parent survey indicated that the biggest concern many had in regards to Camp had to do with children being indoors the entire day. In addition to our usual outdoor lunchtime at Kezar stadium, we will also be securing nearby park space for additional Camp activities.
Please keep your eyes peeled for more updates from us regarding Summer Camp 2021. Once we receive the final guidelines, we will be starting registration shortly thereafter. We hope to know by early April at the latest! In the meantime, take care and stay safe.
