AcroSports Introduces Integrative Program: Movement Classes Designed for Every Child
We’re expanding access to movement and circus arts with a new program built specifically for kids who need a different approach.
Starting now, AcroSports is offering the Integrative Program—specialized instruction for neurodiverse students, kids with different functional needs, and any child who thrives in smaller, more personalized class settings.
This isn’t about making kids fit into our existing classes. It’s about creating space where every child can build confidence, develop skills, and discover what their body can do.
Why We Built This Program
Over the years, we’ve talked with hundreds of families in San Francisco whose kids love movement but struggle in traditional class formats. Parents would ask: “Do you have something for my daughter who has autism?” or “My son has ADHD and gets overwhelmed in big groups—what would work for him?”
We heard the same story again and again. Kids with real potential who couldn’t access what we offer because the format wasn’t right for them.
So we created something new. The Integrative Program grew directly from those conversations—from real family needs in our community. It’s our way of making movement instruction truly accessible, not just in theory but in practice.
Who This Program Serves
The Integrative Program is designed for students who benefit from smaller groups and individualized attention.
Students with specific support needs:
- Autism spectrum disorder
- ADHD and high-energy learning styles
- Down syndrome or low muscle tone
- Sensory processing differences
Students who need a different format:
- Kids experiencing anxiety in new environments
- Children who prefer more individualized attention
- Students who learn better at their own pace
- Anyone for whom traditional classes haven’t been the right fit
You don’t need a diagnosis. If you feel your child would benefit from smaller groups, modified pacing, or extra support, this program may be exactly what they need.
How It Actually Works
We’re not just shrinking class sizes and calling it done. The Integrative Program is designed from the ground up to be flexible and responsive.
Small, thoughtfully matched groups. Classes have 2-4 students, or we offer one-on-one instruction. We personally design each cohort based on compatible needs, abilities, and personalities. No random groupings.
Progressive class length. We start where your child is. Beginners often begin with 30-minute classes, building up to 40 or 50 minutes as they develop stamina and focus. It’s not one-size-fits-all.
Expert coaching. Our instructors understand how to adapt activities in real time. They know the difference between a kid who needs sensory breaks, one who needs extra processing time, and one who’s ready to push harder. That’s not something you can fake.
Clear pathways forward. Some students use this program as an on-ramp to our regular community classes—they might only need a few sessions to build confidence before transitioning. Others thrive in this format long-term. We follow your child’s lead.
What We Teach
The curriculum is the same high-quality movement instruction we’re known for, just adapted for how each child learns best.
We offer:
- Gymnastics fundamentals
- Tumbling and acrobatics
- Circus arts (including aerial skills)
- Strength and flexibility training
- Body awareness and coordination
The focus is always on skill development, confidence building, and helping kids feel capable in their bodies.
What This Program Is (and Isn’t)
Let’s be clear: this is movement coaching and circus arts instruction. It’s not physical therapy, occupational therapy, or special education. We’re not medical professionals, and we’re not trying to be.
What we do offer is expert coaching in a supportive, understanding environment where kids can grow at their own pace. We focus on movement skills, confidence, and creating pathways to community through physical activity.
If your child is working with therapists or educators, that’s great. This program complements that work—it doesn’t replace it.
How to Get Started
Because this program is specialized, we use a coach-approved placement process. That means we take time to understand your child before they start.
Here’s what it looks like:
- Complete the intake form. Share your child’s needs, goals, and background so we can understand what would work best. Start the intake form here.
- Schedule a video call. We’ll talk through your child’s specific needs and answer your questions about the program.
- Get matched to the right setting. We’ll recommend either a small group or one-on-one format based on what we discussed.
- Start classes. Your child begins movement sessions at our San Francisco location (639 Frederick Street) with coaches who get it.
Availability is limited because we keep groups small and take time to match kids thoughtfully. If you’re interested, we encourage you to start the intake process early.
