AcroSports Turns the Big 3-0 in 2023!

To the AcroSports Community,

This year marks a very special year for AcroSports as we celebrate our 30th Anniversary. I feel very privileged to be writing this message as the Co-Founder and Executive Director of AcroSports. AcroSports has continued to transform and evolve since its inception in 1993. We started with approval from the Board of Supervisors and the Mayor of San Francisco to occupy the abandoned Poly High Girl’s East Gym to offer acrobatics, gymnastics, and circus arts to our community. Our vision, then and now, has always been to serve our community in a safe environment by maintaining a top-notch facility with state-of-the-art systems, rigging, equipment, and lighting. Our amazing staff was few at our inception, but they made magic happen to transform an abandoned pigeon roost into an inviting and safe space to offer classes to our community. Our staff has grown significantly over the years and their creativity, dedication, and talents remain part of the magic that makes AcroSports so unique and has continued to grow our beautiful facility, as well as our thriving community.

AcroSports’ journey has been eventful as well as challenging. I am grateful that every roadblock in our journey has been overcome by our AcroSports Family, whose commitment to our standards and values helps to maintain our quality of service. Let’s toast our community, staff, and Board of Directors who have helped us continue to shape our future together.

To Our Students and Families: Thank you for supporting us over the many years and making AcroSports an institution in San Francisco. We will continue to work tirelessly to serve you.

To All AcroStaff (Past and Present): Thank you for the 30 remarkable years of support, dedication, and friendship. We absolutely could not have done it without you all. Your commitment to putting our customers first and to living AcroSports’ values has been integral to our success. Let’s keep the friendship going and growing for the next thirty years. I thank every member of our current team for your commitment, resilience, and incredible talent that you offer AcroSports. As always, if alumni want to reconnect, we would love to have you back.

To Our Board: Thank you for your support and excitement about the opportunities ahead to extend our programming throughout San Francisco and in AcroSports Zanzibar, Africa. I deeply value our continued commitment to offering a robust scholarship program that turns no one away from receiving our services.

Celebrating a 30th-year anniversary milestone is a huge achievement in itself. It’s also a celebration for all who have been part of the AcroSports community through all these years. Please be on the lookout and join me for the exciting ways we plan to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of AcroSports over the coming year. (Visit AcroSports 30th Anniversary Page)
