Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT ARE THE CAMP HOURS? CAN THEY BE EXTENDED?
Camp runs Monday through Friday, 9AM-3PM.
As an add-on for campers 6yrs+ (Camp Jr excluded) we offer Before Care (8AM-9AM) and After Care (3pm-5:30pm). Please find those offerings when registering your child for their week(s) of Camp.
* Federal holidays may impact certain weeks.
WHAT TIME IS DROP OFF AND PICK UP?
Campers can be dropped off daily between 8:45AM-9AM. Pick up is between 3PM-3:15PM. Families that dropped off or pick up their Campers outside of those windows are subject to additional fees. Please see our Policies Page for more info.
DO YOU HAVE WAITLISTS FOR CAMPS?
We keep registration open even if Camps are full so others can join the waitlist. We always encourage families to join the waitlists for all their preferred weeks of camp and we will call/email to notify if/when a spot becomes available.
HOW DO I REGISTER FOR CAMP?
New students need to create an account before registering for classes or camps. If you have an account, please log into your Parent Portal to register. Please note that our camp registration is a busy period and there may be extended wait periods if you need assistance to register via phone or email; it’s always fastests to register online as we have to honor enrollments in the order that they occur. All students must have an active family account BEFORE we can assist.
CAN I RECEIVE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE?
Yes! Please fill out our Tuition Assistance application ahead of registering for any programming. Please make sure you have an account created before you submit your application.
WILL YOU BE SELLING SNACKS AND DRINKS?
Yes! We sell Snack Cards for $10 or $20. These Snack Cards are kept in the office and we will mark off snack values as your camper comes to select their snacks. We aim to keep our Big Top Shop snack section stocked with nutritious and low sugar options and we do not sell candy or sodas. When you purchase your Snack Card, please let us know if there are any limits ($ or types of snacks) to what your camper can purchase.
WHAT ARE THE DAILY NECESSITIES?
- A hearty breakfast before Camp so they have energy for the active day
- Attire: gymnastics leotard, sweats, or athletic clothing. No jeans or clothing with buttons or zippers. Socks, shoes, and tights with feet are not permitted on the gym floor. No jewelry and long hair must be pulled back.
- Snack and lunch + afternoon snack if enrolled in After Care
- Water bottle (no glass) labeled with your child’s name
- Warm jacket, pants, and closed toed shoes for SF summer outdoor lunch
- Books, cards, or games for quiet time activities (NO video games, iPhones, iPads, or other devices)
WILL CAMPERS BE SPENDING TIME OUTDOORS?
Yes! Weather permitting, Campers spend their lunch time in the great outdoors across the street at Kezar Stadium and in the nearby parks.
WHAT HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS ARE IN PLACE AT ACROSPORTS?
We ask families to please keep sick Campers home to keep our staff, coaches, and student body healthy and well. If your child displays any signs of illness symptoms during camp (cough, runny nose, fever, headache, etc.), they will be brought to the office and we will notify you to have them picked up as soon as possible. Campers can return when they are healthily able to participate.
WHAT TIME AND HOW LONG IS THE CAMP SHOW?
Family and friends are invited to come watch your camper in the show on Fridays* from 3PM-3:30PM! Your camper will go home with you after the final act. Doors open at 2:45PM and street parking can be tricky so give yourself a little extra time for looking for parking.
* If a federal holiday falls within your child's week of camp, the show may be impacted. Check the orientation email for more details.
HOW CAN PARENT PROVIDE FEEDBACK ABOUT THEIR CHILD’S EXPERIENCE?
A survey will be sent out at the end of the camp week. Your feedback is valuable and will be used to improve the camp experience for future participants.
