Lottery Frequently Asked Questions
HOW WERE CAMP PLACEMENTS DECIDED?
Placements are determined through our AcroCamp Lottery system, which ensures fairness and accessibility.
Each family submission is treated as a single lottery entry, meaning the entire family is placed as one unit — not as individual campers. This ensures all siblings (and any linked friend groups) are kept together in the same week whenever possible.
Families are then placed based on their number of requested weeks, ranked week preferences (1st–6th), available capacity in each camp week, and their selected camp type (AcroCamp or AcroCamp Jr).
Each week has limited spots: 34 for AcroCamp and 8 for AcroCamp Jr. Families were limited to 3 weeks of Camp enrollment.
CAN I SUBMIT MULTIPLE FRIEND GROUP/FAMILY LOTTERY ENTRIES?
Yes, families may coordinate applications with different friends as long as the total number of weeks requested for any child does not exceed 3 and week selections do not overlap.
General guidelines:
- Families may submit separate applications to coordinate with different friends, provided each application is for different, non-overlapping weeks.
- If applying as part of a friend group, both families should be included on the same application for that specific week.
- Additional applications (with a different friend group or as an individual family) are allowed only for alternate weeks.
- It is the family’s responsibility to ensure that all submitted applications combined do not exceed 3 total weeks requested for each child.
This approach allows families to coordinate with friends who have different availability while keeping the process fair and within program limits. Entries found to exceed these parameters will be excluded.
WHY DIDN'T I GET ALL THE WEEKS I REQUESTED?
Camp demand is very high each year, and unfortunately, we aren’t able to accommodate every family for all of their preferred weeks.
Our lottery system is designed to keep the process fair by giving every family an equal chance for placement. Each family’s ranked week preferences (1st–6th) are considered in order, and spots are filled as availability allows.
If your preferred weeks were already full by the time your family’s turn came up in the lottery, you may have received fewer weeks than requested.
Families who did not receive all of their requested weeks are placed on waitlists for their remaining preferred weeks, depending on the selections they made during registration.
HOW DO WAITLISTS WORK?
If you selected “Yes” to “Would you like to be added to Waitlists?” on your registration form, you are automatically placed on waitlists according to the following rules:
- If you received all the weeks you requested → you will not be on any waitlists.
- If you received fewer weeks than you requested → you remain on all of your preferred weeks’ waitlists.
Waitlists move when families cancel or change weeks. Openings can happen anytime between now and the start of camp. We’ll notify you by phone/email if a spot opens.
Please respond within 24 hours of being offered a spot — otherwise, we move to the next family on the list.
WHAT IF I NO LONGER WANT TO STAY ON A WAITLIST?
Please email in**@********ts.org with your family name and the week(s) you’d like removed from the waitlist. This helps us move other families up more quickly.
HOW DO I ENROLL IN BEFORECARE OR AFTERCARE?
You can select BeforeCare and/or AfterCare directly on your camp lottery form.
If your family is placed in camp weeks, your selections will automatically be applied to those same weeks — no extra steps are needed.
If you did not select Before or AfterCare during the lottery and would like to add it later, please enroll through the Parent Portal, or email in**@********ts.org with your child’s name and enrolled week(s). We’ll confirm availability and update your record if space allows.
You can see your Before/AfterCare enrollment listed in your Parent Portal under My Schedule.
CAN I DROP BEFORE/AFTERCARE LATER?
Yes. Please drop through the Parent Portal or contact in**@********ts.org with your child’s name and enrolled week(s), and we’ll update your account.
I’M IN A FRIEND GROUP — WILL WE DEFINITELY BE TOGETHER?
Friend groups are treated as one unit during placement, so linked families are placed together if drawn in the lottery.
However, this means that both families are either placed together or not placed at all — we don’t split friend groups between different weeks.
CAN I SWITCH MY CAMP WEEK AFTER PLACEMENT?
All camp spaces are assigned through the lottery process and cannot be swapped once placements are complete.
If you need to cancel a week, you can do so through the Parent Portal or by emailing in**@********ts.org. You may then choose to join the waitlist for an alternate week if space becomes available.
HOW WILL I RECEIVE CAMP COMMUNICATIONS?
All AcroSports communication (enrollment confirmations, waitlist updates, schedule changes) will come via email. Be sure to check your spam or promotions folders and add in**@********ts.org to your safe sender list.
WHEN WILL CAMP PAYMENTS BE PROCESSED?
All Camp lottery payments will be processed on February 13 after official enrollment confirmation. If you’re on a waitlist, no payment is due until you’re placed in a camp week (after a space opens and you have confirmed).
WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CANCEL?
Please notify us as soon as possible. Cancellations made early help us offer the spot to another family from the waitlist.
HOW DO I VERIFY MY FAMILY’S ENROLLMENT DETAILS?
You can check all your enrollments in your Parent Portal under My Schedule.
