Summer Camp 2021 Registration Details

We will NOT be able to process any Camp registrations or answer questions over the phone, as our office is not currently staffed.

ALL Camp registration will take place via our online Parent Portal. Anyone unfamiliar with utilizing the portal, or those of you wanting a refresher, can review the helpful instructional video below:

For any questions regarding registration, please email ca***@ac********.org, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Please keep in mind that we cannot process registration via email, and that waiting on an email response from us before registering your child in a Camp may result in losing a spot. It is highly recommended that you create or log into your existing Parent Portal account prior to registration day to avoid any unforeseen obstacles to completing a successful registration.

ONE MORE NOTE about Registration:
If a Camp is shown as “waitlisted,” don’t panic!

We always recommend adding your child to the waitlist, as turnover in Camp enrollment is not uncommon, and we often end up accommodating many waitlisted students. There is no charge to join the waitlist and you can put your child on as many waitlists as you like, as long as they are eligible to participate in the Camp in question.

SUMMER CAMP 2021 FAQs

The health and safety of AcroSports students remains our top priority, and we continuously work to ensure that our safety standards and practices are the best they can be. Below are some FAQs to help you understand how we are planning to run Summer Camp 2021 safely. We will continue to remain responsive to SFDPH directives and protocols, and will keep you posted if and when those directives change.

The FAQs listed here are specific to Summer Camp 2021, which will operate differently than usual due to the ongoing pandemic. For more general information about what to expect at AcroSports Camp, visit the Camp Policies page of our website.

Yes! We have been given the OK to offer indoor summer camps for 2021(though campers will be spending time outdoors as well)! We expect to receive further guidelines from the City specific to summer day camps and will update details below once we have that new information.

Per the City’s COVID safety guidelines, Camps this year will be offered in three-week stretches instead of our usual one-week format. The dates of each session are:

  • June 14 - July 2
  • July 5-23
  • July 26-August 13

Camp runs 9:00AM-3:00PM, Monday through Friday.
Due to the pandemic, this year we will not be able to provide Before or AfterCare, so extending the Camp day will not be an option. However curbside drop-off begins at 8:45 am, and afternoon pick-up continues until 3:15pm, so there is some degree of flexibility in the schedule on either end of the Camp day.

The City’s guidelines dictate that Campers must be in separate “cohorts,” or pods, to help prevent any potential spread of COVID-19. A cohort includes the staff members assigned to work with the group, and no “extra” adults can be added into that cohort. This severely limits our staffing flexibility, and ultimately makes it impossible to staff additional groups of before or aftercare campers in a way that both meets COVID safety guidelines, and ensures staff are getting appropriate breaks and not going into Overtime.

Registration for all Summer Camps will begin online on Monday, April 19th at 9am, and remain open until the scheduled start date of each session, and/or a waitlist becomes full. We keep registration open even if Camps are full so others can join the waiting list; registration cancellations are not uncommon and many waitlist students do end up getting into a Camp eventually, so we always encourage folks to join that list.

Please visit the Camps page of our website, and take the link there to complete your child’s enrollment through our online registration system. **Please note that this year we will not be able to process ANY Camp registration over the phone, as our office is not currently staffed. We have posted a helpful instructional video of how to use the online system on the Camps page for your reference.

Unfortunately, no. Due to the financial difficulties caused by AcroSports’ year-long COVID-related closure, we do not have the funding available to offer Tuition Assistance for Summer Camp this year. However you can request to pay for your child's camp enrollment in multiple installments. To request payment in installments, you must indicate "Pay in Installments" in the "Comments" field during the registration process. We will contact you to arrange a payment schedule once we process your registration request.

No; due to the pandemic, the Big Top Shop will not be accessible this year. Please make sure your child has a hearty lunch packed, including one or two extra snacks. Campers have very busy, active days and often want more to eat than they might normally.

YES, our plan is to spend extra time each day, weather permitting, outside in nearby parks to reduce the amount of time campers spend indoors.
