COVID-19 Information

Your Safety is our #1 Priority

Welcome Back!

Since reopening for programming in April 2021, AcroSports has implemented extensive cleaning protocols, mask-wearing & social distancing policies, and taken other safety measures that align with CDC recommendations for the prevention of COVID-19. More information about this is included in the details below.

The safety and wellness of our students and staff has always been, and will always be, our #1 priority. AcroSports staff have been trained on delivering our enhanced health and safety procedures with confidence, and are passing this high level of care to you. We will regularly update this page with any new information based upon updated guidelines from the CDC or San Francisco Department of Public Health.

To keep our community safe, please remember: if you aren't feeling well, STAY HOME. If you have symptoms of COVID-19 and are awaiting a test result, please do not come to AcroSports until 10 days after your symptoms began, your symptoms have improved, AND you’ve been fever free for at least 24 hours. If you have had contact with someone who has tested positive, do not come to AcroSports for at least 10 days from the point of contact and you are sure you are negative.

As we have done throughout this pandemic, we will continue to carefully monitor local public health data to inform our ongoing safety measures. Please visit the links below for the latest updates that AcroSports is referencing for the continued safety and well being of our AcroCommunity.

Important Covid Update - March 11, 2022

As of Monday, March 14th, AcroSports will officially become “mask optional,” with neither staff nor clients required to wear masks on the premises (though it is highly encouraged!), and we will no longer be requiring proof of vaccination of adult students.

Student Requirements

Please enter through main entrance at the top of the stairs. Your coach will meet you there and take a non-contact temperature reading. Please remove your shoes and take them and your personal belongings to your designated training area.

Additional Student Considerations

  • Stay Hydrated

Please remember to bring your own refillable water bottle to class! We have touchless bottle-filling stations on the main floor near the office, and downstairs near the restrooms. Drinking fountains themselves are NOT available for use.

  • Personal Item Storage

The downstairs lockers are available for use, and there are unlocked cubbies on the west landing next to the grandstand on the uppermost floor where you can leave personal items during your class.

  • Personal Aerial Equipment

Students who own their own aerial apparatuses (tissu, rope etc) are welcome to bring them for use in their private lesson. This will help reduce the amount of cleaning and sanitization that needs to be done by AcroSports personnel. Please remember to bring your equipment home with you however, as we cannot store personal items at the gym.

AcroSports Cleaning Protocols

We are following a stringent cleaning regimen as well as adding additional procedures to achieve an even higher level of cleanliness.

  • Use of Disinfectant

AcroSports is using an EPA-registered disinfectant, Clear Gear, that has demonstrated effectiveness against viruses similar to coronavirus on hard, non-porous surfaces. Clear Gear is widely used among first responders, athletic teams, construction professionals, schools, correctional facilities and other institutions. It’s easy to use—just simply spray on equipment, gear, clothes, shoes and hard non-porous surfaces. All we need to do is let it dry and we’re good to go!

In addition to cleaning and disinfecting high-touch areas throughout the day, our staff will use CDC-approved disinfectant on all areas of the gym and on surfaces in all common areas, with a special attention to doorknobs, handles, handrails, light switches, sanitizing stations, bathrooms, sinks, toilets, benches, the front desk, and equipment.

Enhancing Air Quality with "Hyper HEPA Filtration"

We are committed to meeting or exceeding the latest air circulation and filtration guidelines for reducing COVID transmission. In order to purify our air and make it as safe as possible, we are increasing our ventilation by keeping windows and doors open. We also now operate several air scrubbers throughout the building.

Our AIRWASH WHISPER 675's are located on the main gym floor and downstairs, which offer a perfect Seal 3 Stage Filtration. Our BLUEDRI™ AIR SHIELD 550 HEPA AIR SCRUBBER system, located in the main gym, also offers three stages of filtration, including a pre-filter, optional second stage and a HEPA filter.

Each stage offers its own unique contribution to our air scrubbing work, including large particle removal in the pre-filter and optional second stages, as well as small particle removal in the HEPA filter stage.
